The Comfortable One
Comfortable stitching waistbands of trousers and skirts
The optimized workstations offer a first-class solution for stitching straight and curved waistbands of skirts and trousers in seam shadow or stitching on the waistband edge.
The combination of bottom, needle and top puller feed and a sewing equipment specially developed for this operation sequence, makes it possible to process waistbands accurately and true to shape. The ergonomically shaped table and the rest table allow unhindered handling of the material.
Your advantages
- 550-5-5-2: Suitable for standard materials
- 550-5-5-3: Suitable for stretch materials
- 550-5-5-2: Equipped with a double lockstitch sewing head
- 550-5-5-3: Equipped with a double chainstitch sewing head
- DAC classic control
- Sewing equipment with positively controlled compensating foot and spring-mounted edge guide for accurate sewing in the shadow (standard equipment)
- Presser foot with half-sole and edge guide for exact stitching in the seam shadow – helpful for processing of lining with double lining inner lip (option)
- Topstitching through the waistband on the waistband edge at 1,6 mm with optional compensating foot
- Presser foot stroke adjustment ensures trouble-free stitching of the waistbands, even with thicker materials e.g. in pile fabrics like velvet and cord – sewing cross seams and belt loops is hereby also significantly simplified
- Perfectly fitting waistband processing due to machine base plate with special design
- Unhindered handling by means of ergonomically shaped table top
- Flat, pucker-free seams due to needle feed and top puller feed
- Intermitted working top puller feed with absolutely constant speed
Working Methods
Stitching straight or curved waistbands of skirts and trousers with optimized sewing foot for an even more narrow stitching in the seam shadow of the waistband edge.
Topstitching of straight or curved waistbands with a margin of 1,6 mm (optional hinged compensating foot 0274 006834) on the left hand side of the waistband.
Stitching of straight and curved skirt waistbands with a half-sole sewing foot left and edge guide (0273 006874) for stitching in the seam shadow of the waistband edge in italian waistband lining with double waistband lip lining inside.
Sewing Foot Stroke Level Adjustment
The sewing foot stroke level adjustment provides for different fabric thicknesses and for the processing of pile fabrics, such as e.g. cord and velvet, for a trouble-free and distortion-free topstitching of the waistbands.
When processing normal material thicknesses, the sewing foot stroke level adjustment is typically set to a value between 1 to 5. Here, the presser foot “floats” slightly over the fabric.
When processing thicker materials and pile fabrics (e.g. velvet / cord), the sewing foot stroke adjustment can be set to a value of up to 10. This helps to “float” the presser foot over the material, without putting pressure on the waistband. Warping the waistbands in sewing direction against the pile (line direction) is thus prevented. Only the needle and puller transports the material.
